To support Teledyne ICM’s sustained growth and innovation roadmap, and to strengthen its multidisciplinary R&D team, we are looking for a passionate mid-senior engineer eager to contribute to the development of innovative mechatronic products in a high-tech industrial environment.
R&D ENGINEER – MECHATRONICS
Descriptif de poste
As an R&D Engineer, you will play an active role in the full product development lifecycle, from concept to industrialization, contributing directly to the development of next-generation X-ray solutions.
You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, partnering with engineering, production, quality, and business teams to design, test, and bring innovative products to market.
Reporting to the R&D Director, your main responsibilities will include:
- contribute to the definition of technical specifications in close collaboration with Business Development, Product Management, and other internal stakeholders;
- perform feasibility studies and help identify innovative mechatronic solutions combining electronics, mechanics, and system integration;
- design, develop, and optimize mechatronic systems, including hardware integration, interfaces, and product architecture;
- build, test, and validate prototypes, ensuring expected performance, reliability, and compliance;
- support industrialization activities, including design for manufacturing, technical problem-solving, and preparation of technical documentation;
- provide technical follow-up throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with production, quality, and After-Sales teams;
- contribute actively to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the R&D department.
Compétences et profil recherchés
- You hold a master’s degree in engineering (electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent).
- You have around 5 to 8 years of experience in product development within an industrial R&D environment.
- You demonstrate solid experience in mechatronic development, with a good understanding of both electronic and mechanical design integration.
- You have hands-on experience in prototype development, testing, validation, and technical problem-solving.
- You are comfortable working across the product development lifecycle, from early design phases to industrialization support.
- Knowledge of EMC or high-voltage systems is a plus.
- Experience in X-ray technology, imaging systems, or another advanced industrial technology environment would be a strong asset.
- You are structured, curious, hands-on, and able to solve technical challenges in a pragmatic and collaborative way.
- You are a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- You are fluent in English and French.
